Gail Racy

This painting, 'Returning Home' was highlighted in the Gainesville newspaper review of the annual National juried show at the Gainesville Art Center. I do Chinese painting on rice paper using watercolor and on silk using ink.
I teach classes at Chastain Art Center and have my work on continuous display at the gift shop at The Atlanta Botanical Garden as well as at Chastain Art Center and Gallery Cafe.

Artist Profile

Art has always been an important part of my life.
I enjoy the entire process of receiving a commission and providing my clients with what they had envisioned. This particular piece (and three others) was a freelance job that I created for a client that wanted a beach view from every window of her initially windowless shop.
Currently I am teaching art, painting murals, designing CD covers, drawing and painting pet art and my newest project illustrating a children's book.

The artist from our group are current displaying their work at "The Gallery Café" in Buckhead, Georgia which is located on the corner of Roswell Rd. and Piedmont Rd. This hidden jewel of a cafe is owned and operated by head chef, Gerard Guinamand. He prepares his menu daily from only the freshest of ingredients. As a native of Paris France Chef Gerard’s heritage and training shows through in his specialties which include his signature homemade soups and salad dressings. "The Gallery Café" is true to its name since the walls are covered with art, carvings and photography from the artistsans of the Fine Art Folio Group. As you enjoy the wonderful dishes and quaint bistro atmosphere all your senses will be entertained.
